Episode 24: Cut – Sex & Circumcision with Eliyahu and Pennie Ungar-Sargon

Eli_portraitEliyahu Ungar-Sargon is an award-winning filmmaker who has spoken and written extensively about issues of human rights, religion and politics. His first feature length documentary, Cut: Slicing Through the Myths of Circumcision (2007), received critical acclaim and has been screened in numerous cities around the United States and abroad. He also directed and edited Questions of Life and Death (2004), a short documentary featuring an Israeli assassin. Ungar-Sargon has extensive editing experience, and was a contributing editor on the short narrative film, Sisterhood of Night (2006). Additionally, he served as a guest lecturer in the Film, Video and New Media Department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ungar-Sargon was born in London, England, raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in Brookline, MA, and moved to Israel when he was 13. His educational background includes rigorous training in Jewish studies as well as several years as a medical student. He holds two degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; one in film, and one in the fascinating new field of cognitive film theory. cutthefilm.com

Episode 14: Respect Your Sex with Raul Queue

Raul received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he discovered his passion for promoting sexual and relational health awareness as a former Sex & Relationships peer health intern. After graduating, he utilized his knowledge while volunteering as an HIV-testing counselor; and recently ended a two-year stint as social media specialist for one of the world’s largest HIV healthcare organizations.
He’s appeared on Russell Brand’s Brand X as a condom expert; helped develop sex-positive HIV/STD awareness marketing campaigns; and has microblogged to his heart’s content about how to best protect your sexual health. Raul continues to spread awareness via his personal social media accounts, and speaks publicly on topics related to sexual health and HIV.
